Dear friends. A question-what about in virto for the breastfeeding mom. 41 year old, baby now 18 months. Has been told she must wean because of the drugs she will need to take. Most of them I found in Hale 2000 and all were compatible with breastfeeding. Can you help me out with the others? Gonal F 3 amps (75 IU) twice daily for 14 days (is this the same drug, chorionic gonadotropin that Hale says is OK) HCG 10,000 units IM once Progesterone 1cc=50mg IM daily for 2-4 weeks Most likely, the oral bioavaibility of these things is low. Why else are they injected? One more question-- Do you think breastfeeding an 18 month old (he really likes to nurse!) will impact the success of the procedure. Many thanks--Chonyi Chonyi Glassman, IBCLC [log in to unmask] *********************************************** The LACTNET mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software together with L-Soft's LSMTP(TM) mailer for lightning fast mail delivery.
