My Spanish is limited to leche and pecho and I want to learn more! Next ILCA conv is in Mexico folks! Have tried local night school, but it is oriented to "how do I find the hotel/restaurant/museum" sort of conversation :-( >> The moving to Mexico City 1/2 way thru my junior year in high school intensive! After 6 years of French yet. Getting a Spanish speaking boyfriend works well too! (Unless you have a DH that would not be thrilled!) Seriously, alot of the Berlitz courses are very good. Get a pocket sized dictionary and carry it around with you. Sign language and a good sense of humor are mandatory too. Using those cute breast balloons is also very helpful - always good for a chuckle to whip out the insta-breast! Is the next ILCA Conference really going to be in Mexico? How wonderful! Haven't been there in 30 years! Maybe there could be a Spanish for LC's class offered inconjunction with the Conference. I'm sure there would be alot of interest since language/cultural barriers affect a great many of us. Maybe we could pose the question to the Conference planning committee...
