We prefer IBCLC or close to it, have experience with suck problems, premies, FTT, Down's, low milk supply, etc. We have group appointments for normal newborns and premies and individual consults for the infant/suck challenges and maternal complications." Kirsten, I'm having trouble understanding why you would feel that an RN is needed to help at your breastfeeding clinic but that an IBCLC is not absolutely necessary. I would also point out, based on your applicant qualifications, that very knowledgeable and talented IBCLCs like Barbara Wilson-Clay, Kay Hoover, Chele Marmet, Catherine Watson Genna, Alison Hazelbaker, Maureen Minchin, Diane Wiessinger, etc. would not be deemed qualified for this position. You should require that the person that you hire be an IBCLC, and make the RN part optional. Sincerely, Terry Johnson ----------------------------------------------- FREE!
