Hi all,
I've also seen prolactin called the mothering hormone. If I understand
correctly, oxytocin is responsible for that lovely 'afterglow' after an
orgasm, as well as during nursing. And prolactin is found in tears -is
that why I cried at stupid sappy commercials during the postpartum
period?

>>Dear Friends:
Oxytocin is the mothering or love hormone. Dr. Kirsten Uvnas-Moberg
has
found that it makes women content with simple repetitive tasks (such as
frequent bf, diaper changing, etc.)
Prolactin makes us protective, willing to fight to protect our
babies.
    Warmly,
