I agree, Nikki.

In the UK,  I have never heard of finger feeding being practised in any way
at all. That's not to say  I am for or against it....however, I would be
concerned about it becoming widespread here, where hospitals and health
professionals are already too often lacking in the basic knowledge of how
to support normal, full-term healthy baby, physiological breastfeeding, and
where I have seen other tools misused and used routinely, to the detriment
of happy breastfeeding.

Things 'catch on' like a fashion here, and spread quite quickly.
