I agree that milk draws what it needs from mom's body, irregardless of her
diet (McD's or real food :-) unless she is in a severe malnutriton status.
I also agree that we put too much pressure on moms re: diet and vits.  But
I do think it is smart to rec a simple vit supp or Cal supp (if mom doesn't
use dairy).  Where do you all think those old wives tales of yore came
from? (ie: lose a tooth for each baby etc.)  Mom does need to replenish her
body supply in some way, either via food or supps.

We really don't know what people do in their own homes nutrition-wise.  In
the US today I think it is generally poor.  Too much take out and box mixed
stuff.  We can't use our own food habits as a frame of ref because I think
most of us are on the outlier end of curve re: decent nutrition (the good
end :-)
