This is one case, my third child was born in a birthing center and as
"prepared" as we were, we did not anticipate meconium and the
aggressiveness which "hospital protocol" demanded it be treated.  So,
this healthy 7#11oz  unmedicated baby was   deep y suctioned several times.
He did go on to nurse beatuifully!  He had terrible stridor for weeks
that no doubt was related to suctioning, but he never had a problem with
breastfeeding.
