Every time gloves are mentioned are Lactnet, my "ears" perk up. I have
posted before on this list about the dangers of latex. I am one of those
unlucky souls who tends to stop breathing every time I am even in the
vicinity of gloves, balloons, eraser dust, etc, etc. I know of at least
one other IBCLC on this list with a latex allergy. There are recorded cases
of exclusively breastfed infants developing a latex allergy - their only
exposure was from a pacifier. So, please, no latex in babies' mouths! And
I haven't looked for them in a while, but there were non-latex finger cots
available at one time.

"One of our consultants brought up the point that the cots are latex and
this could be quite a problem if there was a latex allergy... What about
this Latex allergy question?" Heather Dana
