Hi Joy,
I had a mom with frequent and sever vasospasms of the nipples. She had a
family hx of Raynaud's and sensitivity to cold. Your mom sure sounds like this
is the dx.
My mom did not want to take the Nifedipine. But did try acupreasure with some
relief. We also worked on the baby who was a "clamper" to regulate mom's
excessive milk flow. Mom did TMJ massage and we brought her production down.
She is 8 months pp and still nrsg, still has occasional spasms but very
tolerable.
