Tegaderms (the clear plastic film you are probably describing) is quite 
expensive, not the right size (would have to be cut) and hurts like crazy 
when you pull it off. It is also difficult to work with and cannot be 
moved around once it is in place. In other words, it is very hard to 
adjust. I do not think this is a good option for what you want.
