Yes, I know about Family Purity Laws. That is not the problem. The
problem is that I am trying to get some Rabbis here in Israel to condone
Natural Family Planning. There is a real problem with it because the time
the woman goes to the Mikvah is when she's most fertile. She is not
supposed to put off immersion however, unless she has permission from her
husband. Rav Mordechai Eliyahu has mandated putting immersion off for
three days, but more than that is pushing it. I want rabbis to start
realizing that these BCP's and IUD's are not good for women or for Bf, and
when they say to take the mini-pill with Bf they may be spelling calamity
for a new mother. Problems such as bleeding, drug-induced depression,
future risk of atopic pregnancies, etc.

The problem with regular immersion doesn't usually hit until after the
first year, but some women actually do get their periods on a regular basis
even with Bf.

The problem is that the rabbis aren't all convinced that Bf can be used as
BC.. Why not?/ Because the *doctors* told them so. They don't condone
Bfing around the clock because they don't have the information and many
rabbis listen to doctors, who don't give it to them. I want to write a
paper on why NFP mixed with Bf is actually the best halachic way.

The information I need is dealing with this three-day lapse, and which
back-up methods couples most often are allowed to use.
