Suzanne, I don't believe so. I exchanged emails with a woman who was in a
similar position over a year ago. Her baby was 7 or 8 months old at the
time and receiving only breastmilk - directly or expressed. She was
active duty and was going on "maneuvers" for two weeks and wasn't able to
get a reprieve at all. She ended up pumping like crazy for a few weeks
before she left, stockpiling that milk for baby to have in her absence,
and then pumping and dumping while she was in the field. She had quite a
time of it, too, because all that pumping beforehand increased her supply
so much... but... she and the baby both survived that two weeks and went
back to their normal routine when they were back together again. The last
I heard from her, she was still nursing on the child's 2nd birthday. :)
