Hi Kathy,

I'm Martha Grodrian Brower
Kettering, OH (suburb of Dayton)
USA

We just received our copy of the MCH Title V Block Grant for Ohio (we testify
next Tuesday, so they made sure we would have as little time to prepare as
possible. This year they have totally revamped it and figured a new
unintelligible (sp?) way to word it. Clearly the most pressing problem for
Ohioans appears to be cavities. There are approximately 6 pages devoted to
dental health issues, tooth sealants, etc., etc. I am tempted to suggest in
my testimony that the Ohio Department of Health change its name to the Ohio
Dept. of Dentistry and associated health problems. Whew, now that I've said
it to you, I probably won't say it to them (Pleeeeease don't put it on the
front page of the NY Times!!-ha)

I am thoroughly enjoying LactNet--thank you and Kathleen for making it
possible. I am printing out all the dental references since Ohio is going to
be embarking on a nursing caries witch hunt as soon as the block grant goes
into effect.

The Grand Empress of Insectivoria (p.s. Did you see where that downed pilot
in Bosnia knew how to eat insects and plants to keep alive --thank goodness
his calcium status did not have to suffer!!)
