Yes, even people in very unrelated professions promote good parenting and
breastfeeding.  My husband, a veterinarian, doesn't hesitate to tell people
"All MY patients breastfeed!" with a smile on his face, whenever he has a
chance.  Then when a mother comes in with a baby in her arms, struggling to
hold onto to "Poopsie" the dog or "Fluffy" the cat in her carrier and the
baby is fussing, the mom is looking frazzled, he will tell her to take her
time with the baby, close the exam room door and see his next patient or two
until she signals she's ready.  If it comes up he gladly tells them all of
our children were breastfed.  Mom's frequently thank him for his kindness.

He comes home very frustrated if parents have been in the office who are
inattentive with their "little brats", yelling at them as they destroy his
waiting and exam rooms.  Some have even put holes in the walls with the
chairs and the parents just scream some more and walk away.

We really need more parenting skills taught and more bonding!

Also he won't promote the dogfood made by Carnation.  We have received free
cases at our door.  They have plans so people can order it and have home
delivery to make it easy.  Of course they offered him a special incentive to
promote their product.

Yes, I plan to keep him.
