Rachel writes: Reflux is not suspected as he doesn't act the way they are
accustomed to seeing
babies with reflux behave.

I would none-the-less seriously consider reflux. This baby is eating just
enough to get by and is not enjoying it.  Babies with reflux often end  up self
limiting because feeding is an unpleasant or painful situation for them.  If
they don't want to test him I would advise a trial of reflux meds--give  it a
week or so before you expect results.
