A tradition during the Jewish New Year celebration is to eat foods that
are symbolic of good luck for the coming year; dipping an apple in honey
is a well known one, so that we will have a sweet year. Well, I just
found out that fenugreek is also one of the symbolic foods, its aramaic
name sounds like the word for  "increase" in Hebrew -so that our merits
will increase.
Guess it increases other things too!
