In response to Anne's question about donating money to organizations that
are breastfeeding friendly, I would like to remind all the Monetary
Investment for Lactation Consultant Certification (MILCC) is a very worthy
cause. MILCC is a not- for-profit, voluntary, international scholarship
organization.

MILCC provides financial assistance (partial or full exam fee scholarships)
to candidates seeking to take the IBCLC exam or to re-certify. Scholarships
are awarded to candidates around the world. In 2008, 64 people received
aid...and MILCC hopes to do more in 2009.  Think of all the breastfeeding
families that are assisted by more IBCLCS! Think how these IBCLCs will
enhance the profession! 

The number of MILCC scholarships awarded each year is dependent on the
donations received from people like you. For more information visit the
MILCC website at www.milcc.org.
