Hi Ruth,

Reactions to agents in prescriptions happens all the time.  Your son might do
better with pure nystatin powder.  You can either use it to make your own
capsules for oral use or make a paste out of it for topical use.  It is
available from Freeda Pharmacy in NYC.  They will sell it to you mail order.
The man who runs the place,  Phillip Zimmerman, PhD, was very helpful to me when
I was researching "A Woman's Guide to Yeast Infections."  In addition to
supplying me with powdered nystatin, he also supplied me with tons of
information.  If you call, you might want to pick his brain about yeast stuff.

nystatin should be kept refrigerated.
