Mothering magazine has ads for this product along with an address to send
away for it. I beleive there is also a website, but I don't have my last
issue of Mothering handy at the moment.

I, personally, am always very cautious about near-prescribing any
substance, and the problem with substances other than human milk entering
the baby is still an outstanding question. The presence of Bicoarbonate of
Soda and alcohol in one post's description of one brand has me a bit
worried.

You could look in Mothering for the ad, although I suppose the mother would
have to wait while it came through the mail.

When my oldest DD, Sarah, suffered terrible colic (in hindsight it was
probably a combination of silent reflux, neurological irritability and OER)
my ped suggested making a "tea" of fennel or dill seed and giving a few tsp
to her. FTR, she, sadly, was unhelped by this concoction.

I have however, hear quite a few clients and freinds (both IRL and on the
net) claim miraculous results from Gripe Water. I'll wait until I have more
info before suggesting it or using the standard "some mothers have found.."
tecnique to recommend it.

Does anyone else worry about possible side effects or sensitivities to the
ingredients in this product?
