Patricia,
    there are times that I feel so frustrated with moms that give up so
easily....but, do give them praise for atleast pumping.  They are reminded of
the double duty work involved but, in their minds they are atleast giving the
baby EBM.  This past week and weekend I received atleast 4 calls from moms
that decided to quit nursing...half of them chose not to pump at all.  It was
very defeating to the soul!!  Sometimes I can handle it and other times it is
so discouraging.  I am sure the comments and justifications they make do
register to them how they sound to me.  I have seen so many moms lately that
have biiten the dust with nursing and justify the contentment their babies
experience on ABM and their sanity as more rewarding.

p.s....being a hospital LC has many frustrations...I can imagine the rewards
with private practice since most moms you see may be more committed.
