Of course it is real--and I believe it is the system's brilliant 
compensation for intra-uterine or birth trauma and diagnosis will make 
it possible for compensatory interventions. That way, we never have to 
look at the causes--we can just keep diagnosing and treating trauma as 
something other than what it is. Alternatively, we could pay attention 
to the growing volumes of research and experiential evidence that 
already exists about the immense damage that our current pregnancy and 
birth practices are having on the developing and emerging human being.
