After taking the fall off from LACTNET, four deaths in 1 month, I resubbed
today as I now have more time and have two moms I need help with.
Any information, suggestions, etc. would be appreciated ASAP.
Thanks,

Mom #1: Has a pituitary tumor that she has had for a number of years and
is afraid to have it removed. She is on Parlodel. When she attempted to
nurse her last child, baby went for 6 weeks without gaining an ounce and
Dr. had her wean totally to formula. From what I've read on this med.,
she should not be taking it when breastfeeding. Any ideas on a suitable
drug she could take that wouldn't suppress milk production? Her HCP
says there isn't any. And yes, she knows surgery is an outpatient
surgery, but can't handle the thought of surgery with only a local anesthesia.

Mom #2: Says with last two children she had a problem with delayed milk
production. She claims her milk didn't come in with first baby for 12 days
and with second baby it was 11 days. Supposedly she had them at breast
on demand, and did not use pacifiers, or supplement till day 10 when she
was sure they were starving. Any references on this? How long can a
mom wait before she gives in and supplements in cases like this?
