A mom I know just gave birth on Sunday. She has a low platelet count. She was
given antibiotics during the birth. The baby's count was a bit low but has
gone back to normal by day 2. On day 3 the baby's count went a little low but
the doctor thinks it was read incorrectly.

Mom called me to make sure that she will not be passing anything through her
milk to the baby to get the baby's platlet levels lowered.

She is working at finding out why her levels are not back to a normal range.
There is no excessive bleeding. The placenta seems to be intact.

Thanks,
Annette L.
