There was no intent to embarrass anybody in my previous post. I merely
wanted to point out that accepting millions of dollars from the formula
industry does not allow for honest advocacy of breastfeeding over formula
feeding.

That is easily termed unethical.

The American Academy of Pediatrics is a lobbying organization for Americašs
pediatricians seeking increased reimbursement for services and vaccinations.
Believing that are main intent is to promote optimal health for children is
like believing that the Teamsters only want the best for Americašs
consumers. Yes, health promotion may be a side effect of some of the AAPšs
actions, but actions speak louder than any words.

Subject: AAP "Ethical Issues"

The AAP statements are guidelines or recommendations, not requirements.?
They allow independent variation based on physician experience, judgement
and individual patient needs.? There is so much that we do not know about
EVERY subject in medicine, that there is very little care you can truly term
"unethical" or "malpractice".
