Yes! who is game to have a go with a needle on a nipple blister? As I am
a doctor I suppose I feel comfortable about trying this sort of thing,
and have supplied sterile needles to mums who are having problems with
recurrent blisters so they can treat them themselves. Once they have
seen it done, and see the rapid relief, they are usually keen to do it
again should the need arise. I always warn them to be *very* gentle, and
not to prod or poke if the blister doesn't pop quickly. If I am
counselling mums over the phone with my NMAA hat on, I may suggest popping
a blister, but ususally suggest they see their doctor to have this done
(covering NMAA from a legal point of view).
wish I could find a more non-invasive way of doing this!
