So that's what my 3 year old has been doing all this time!  He always
insists while nursing on doing this 'breast compression'.  It drives me
crazy when I haven't clipped his fingernails for a few days, however!
Isn't it amazing what children instinctively know how to do--in particular
my son has done this since we're been down to 1 or 2 nursings a day; he's
realized he gets more milk this way!  Initially I thought he just enjoyed
the tactile sensation of touching my skin, but I did have a suspicion that
somehow this way he increased the milk.
