Saw a lady last week who'd had surgery by a "breast specialist" about six
years ago for "idiopathic galctorrhea". She'd had the ducts cut
bilaterally, and the nerve cut on one side. Now she's got a baby and
wants to breastfeed. The amazing part - she's got milk coming out of
ductal openings onto the areola on the side with intact nerve. Has
anybody ever seen this??? (Spoke to a surgeon friend who said he'd never
even heard of that procedure; wasn't sure it was a legitimate procedure.
Duh!) She did have scars at the junction of nipple and areola bilaterally.
