I work in a hospital with 1400 deliveries per year with 55-60 % initiating
breastfeeding. No NICU.
Our breastfed babies are usually seen by their doctors at 2 weeks of age.
Do any hospitals of this size have a postpartum lactation clinic?
I am wondering whether it is feasible, so a large number of the babies are
seen a couple days postpartum to prevent quiting breastfeeding because
nipples still sore or engorged or ??
If so, how does one start a process such as this?
You may mail me privately.
TIA
