I havent' followed this, but Susan's comment caught my
eye. WHen my second daughter was first born, I didn't
make my elder wait to nurse because then who would
have gotten all the hindmilk? The second nurser, of
course! All the nurses in the hospital told me to
make sure the baby nursed first because otherwise
there wouldn't be any milk for her, but I ignored that
tidbit.
Interestingly, even with tandem nursing, ie. both at
once, I had over supply problems and had to wean my
elder daughter for about 6 weeks. She had no
problems returning to nursing when I felt that my
supply was stable again and continues to nurse still,
when I let her. :-D
