The health care professional only has to lift the top most layer of skin
with a sterile needle and technique. The mother can then usually express
a hard piece of material, not unlike dried up toothpaste. Why will they
not agree to help? Kathleen

Subject: milk blebs

Esteemed colleagues - As luck would have it, I have encountered two
separate women in the last two days with milk "blebs". I have given
both of them the same advise, essentially the LLL advise to soak and
nurse directly afterwards, but for neither of them did it work. I
believe that "opening" the top of the plugged pore is beyond my scope of
practice, but I cannot find a single doc. in town who will help. Any
advise?

libby in El Paso - where the lines at the international bridges are 6
hours long now.
