Greetings:

I subscribed to Lacnet for a new prospective on infant feeding in the
NICU. I am a Speech Pathologist with 13 years experience in feeding and
swallowing issues in peds. esp. neonates. I have seen alot of info. in
the alt.breastfeeding NG that to be honest runs counter to my training
but I am open to new ideas. Most noteably cup feeding for infants -
runs counter to all I've learned. Cup feeding skills (by my education)
are not acquired until 6 mo. of age, 4 mo. at the earliest (Barb Cupps,
Rona Alexander, Susan Evans Morris and a host of others.) I'd really
like to get the shimmy on this issue from the Lacnet perspective.
