I would like some advice. We have a 2 day old here whose mother has a
positve ppd and a node on the lung seen by x-ray. The baby has been
breastfeeding until the node was found. The sputum test takes 3 days to get
a definative TB diagnosis. Should the baby continue to breastfeed until we
find out if the mom has active TB or should I have her pump and save the
milk until we get an answer?

Any advise? Please answer me privatly as well as on the list.

Thanks!
Janet Hoover Malo, LM, IBCLC
