For me one of the "gravest" issues is that of the
pre-cradle formulas. I saw them briefly in my area a
few years ago (mothers brought them to support
meetings as show & tells from their OBs), and then
again traveling in China a couple years ago.
Full-page ads in Chinese parenting magazines promoted
the use of "pregnancy formula" with DHA to ensure
smart, healthy babies. The kicker is that you would
buy this formula throughout your pregnancy in
look-alike cans right next to your favorite AIMs,
establishing a relationship with the company
manufacturing your baby's "health drink."
