To the person who emailed me (Paula?) about the mom with underarm yeast (and
the doc who said to use cornstarch): In my haste to "clean up files" after
being gone, I accidentally deleted your email, so I'm hoping you're reading
your LN...
I never recommend cornstarch in yeast cases because the little critters love
starch as a food. I recommend all the usual anti-yeast protocols (email me
if you need them) PLUS the following for areas like underarms (and in large
breasted women, under the breasts):
-bathe using an anti-fungal--could be Nizoral shampoo (ketoconazole shampoo
is now OTC in the US) or something containing a natural antifungal such as
citrus seed extract or Melaleuca (Tea Tree oil); let stand on skin as long
as is practical and then rinse thoroughly
-in the shower, spray with distilled white vinegar solution and don't rinse
-use a deoderant with tea tree oil and baking soda such as Wise Woman Wild
Yam or Melaleuca Brand deoderant
-Try to expose the area to sunlight if possible, but be careful not to burn
-IF something is needed to absorb moisture, use a product like Zeasorb
(super absorbent powder made with Talc so be careful not to inhale or apply
where baby might inhale).

Good luck,
Chris
