Sharing of single user pumps, even with a new kit, it not advisable, you can
sterilize the kit you cant sterilize the actual pump, please refer to the

I am curious about the "liability issue." My understanding was that single
user pumps were designated single user because of the limited total number
of pumping hours their smaller motors could handle. But the thread seems to
be concern that when a mother shares her single user pump her milk may be
contaminated? Couldn't a mother be encouraged to purchase a new kit for the
pump, and replace the tubing?
