I know every one is at ILCA but I just found out that 10 years worth of
research data on Oversupply syndrome was shredded and it was not completely
tabulated. No one asked. The secretaries just went through and shredded it
all. We would have been able to keep the survey sheets at least. That was
about 1000 charts on Over Supply Syndrome only.

Apparently, Joint Commission came through and said because we weren't
"licensed" for charts anything over 6 months old had to be destroyed. The
originals go in the mother's and baby's chart, we kept a clinic copy locked
up. We'd have to try and figure out who we saw and when to retrieve the data.
A near impossible task. Plus we would loose a lot if patients have moved or
the records are archived because they no longer belong to my HMO.

The reason we had 10 years worth collected? We didn't even have time to
tabulate the data, too many moms and babies and too little time. We'll never
get time to try and retrieve it.
BUMMER
Oh well I guess my partner will have to start over.
