my 19 year old daughter and I both have geographic tongue. I was told that
it was
hereditary by my DDS. It tends to flare up when we are on antibiotics and
anything
that its acidic or spicey causes burning and pain. It usually flares up in
conjuction
with a vaginal yeast infection. I always wondered if it is just a
coincidence or if there
is a connection. We take acidophilus with our antibiotic therapy and it does
seem to
make a difference with both problems.
