Just wanted to share something that happened last night.

Had a 41 week babe with initial blood sugar of 36, the other nurse
working with me gave him 10 cc of 10% glucose water by syringe, after
she tried the bottle (arugh) and he wouldnt suck and blood sugar came up
to 51 , about an hour later it dropped to 41, I took baby to mom, he
nursed only about 3-4 minutes and half an hout later the blood sugar was
71!

Moral of the story : (IMHO)

Colostrum raises BS better than sugar water....
