A brief reading of the March 18 2002 People magazine at the barber's
yesterday (while my almost-4-yo was getting his pre-birthday haircut) gave
me not one but two pleasant surprises.

Pop singer Brandy is pictured in oblique view to highlight her pregnant
belly, and she is quoted as saying, "I'm going to be a real mom.  I'm going
to nurse!"

Then later Cindy Crawford is shown in a picture from a fashion show, and
her breasts are unmistakeably rounded and full.  She is quoted as saying
she is pleased with her motherly figure (we should all be so blessed with
our motherly figures, lol) and the fashion press is reported to have lauded
her luscious shape as well (I can't recall the exact word that was used).
Cindy has had two homebirths and has made no secret about breastfeeding.
Her youngest is 6 months.

Now back to the more academic journals ;-)
