Christine, is this mother of local nationality? If she is, then I wonder
whether her yellow looking nipples are just blanching due to nipple trauma or
Reynaulds, the natural colour of her skin is 'colouring' her nipples a
yellowish shade? I observed a caucasian mother with this problem and her
nipples on blanching had a ghostly whitish/greenish/bluish tinge, devoid of
all signs of blood flowing through the flesh. It was the same colour one
observes in the face when one is about to faint or vomit. Her nipples then
flushed bright red, we nicknamed them Traffic Light Nipples. She felt the
excrutiating pain when the spasm released and the blood flooded back into the
nipple. Once we got the positioning sorted out it disappeared. Comments
anyone else on Christine's observations?
