I hear ya, Margaret :)
Think of it this way:
How can anybody say ANYTHING without somebody else in the world
disagreeing with them?
How can you know beforehand that a doctor MIGHT say something different?
Even if one doctor has already given an opinion, surely there could
be another one who might disagree, especially when it comes to
breastfeeding?

One of my favourite phrases is, "You know, we pay doctors for their
advice, just like we pay lawyers, but we are not obliged to take it.
Not every doctor has the time to keep up with the latest research in
breastfeeding issues. How would you feel about getting a second
opinion ?"
