Hi all

I will pull more info on methotrexate when I'm back in the pharmacy today.
 but I would like a bit more info on the mom.  what is she being treated for,
and at what dose?, is this the only dose that she is going to get? does she
have any other underlying conditions which may slow the excretion of the
drug. is it going to be IV or IM?

For most meds (with healthy moms - no underlying conditions) waitng 5-7 half
lives means there is very little left to pass on to baby.  The adult 1/2 life
is 7.5 hours for IV MTX.  (so were talking 38-53 hours for the primary drug
to clear - wont know till I get into the office about active metablites--
resulting in longer clearance times)
