1)Woman in her fourth month. Fourth baby. Attempted to nurse all her kids,
but due to underdeveloped breasts, did not produce much milk and despite
galactogogues, pumping, and nursing - attempting to build supply - she dried
up by three months pp.
She feels and appears to have grown this pregnancy, but has been having
pretty severe pain in the right breast at about 3 o'clock range. Sometimes
the pain is so severe it wakes her at night. It radiates around to her spine- i
assume along the nerve path. Her left side does not hurt much, but there is
some sensativity. No fever, no discharge, otherwise feels good. At this point,
pain level is subsiding. She used arnica for a few days, dandilion oil rubbed
into breast for one day.
2)Woman who has flattish mounds for breasts with a prominant nipple in the
center. this is hard to describe. no surgical history, no hormonal problems.
Her breasts just look like they were flattened out. they start under the arms
and meet At the sternum. skin is quite taught and not flexible. baby has a
difficult time latching on and manipulating breast to get the milk.
