getting straight to the matter....

This girl is 17 years old with a 16 month old and is now pregnant again. In
a conversation she stated that baby #1 was not breastfed and she will not
with this one. History has that every time I talk with this girl, her
daughter is ill with either ear infection or kidney problems. She states
that she being in school is one reason that she is unable and that the
school does not have a day care. Homeschooling is not an option. When I
stated to her that I was a bit surprised that she would not choose
breastfeeding for the new one because of all of the health problems with her
first she stated "I know she is not healthy, but what has that to do with
what milk I fed her".

My question oh wise ones would be..... what would be a good way to approach
her. I told her that I like her and want to help and will get her some
information. She is open.

BTW...she lives at home and does not sound like she has the greatest support
system.
