Subject: ?Bad breastmilk?

> Hi. I am new to lactnet- actually I have been reading posts for about a month now but have never posted a question. I had an interesting situation come up today and I'm stumped. A young lady came to see me as her 6 week old is refusing to nurse. She has been on a "strike" for the past 2 days. She told me that the last week or so the baby has been very fussy/spitty. She said she has not made any changes to her life- diet, meds, etc. however the baby just doesn't want to nurse. She said her husband tried the breastmilk to see what was wrong and said that it burned his mouth going down and gave him indigestion. I know there are a lot of variables here- but is this possible? We tried to put baby to breast however the baby had no interest and mom has been supplementing with formula. Any ideas on this matter would be appreciated. Thanks.
