I have never heard of this either.  I do know that flying is VERY dehydrating. Could it be possible that this individual mother is very sensitive to  the dehydrating climate of the airplane. She could make sure she is very well hydrated in the hours up to, and on her flight. This advice is often given to counter jet lag, which is not caused only by time change.   I was just at the LLL Conference, and heard Dr. Jack Newman speak several time about the wonders of Domperidone.  Perhaps she could get an Rx and have it on hand just in case it happens again (If she can get someone to write it)
