Dear Brilliant Lactnetters,
My frient/client/pediatrician who is expecting triplets is now
hospitalized with pregnancy induced hypertension (PIH) and cervical
dilitation. It is quite likely that the babies will be delivered early (no
surprise here :)). I have two questions:
     1) What should the recommendation be as far as pumping goes....Ten
minutes eight times per day would do for one baby...Please keep in mind that
she also has a three and a six year old.

     2) Her desire is that she breast feed two babies at a feeding, while
another person bottle feeds the third expressed breast milk. She would
"rotate" the babies (not exactly, but you know what I mean). When should she
pump for the third baby?

Please send your ideas and strategies to me privately as well as to the
list. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts and experience!

    Sincerely,

     Debi Page Ferrarello, RN, IBCLC
