I have a question regarding tandem nursing. An acquaintance of mine has a
2yr old whom she has breastfed completely from one breast due to hx of
breast cancer (I can't remember if she's had a mastectomy or not). She is
now pregnant and wonders if she will need to wean her son prior to her baby's
birth. Her concern stems from only having one side to nurse on. I told her
that I felt she would be fine to nurse both from the same (and only) breast. I
did explain that there is a possibility her son will wean himself when her milk
flavor changes, but that I didn't see a need for her to wean him if neither he
nor she wishes it. I told her I would run it by this group to see if anyone has
any experience/recommendations for tandem nursing with one breast. Has
anyone run into this before? Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Casey
