Yes, yes.... I think we should raise this very same question with Agennix.  
What research are they basing their products on?  Where oh where is their 
evidence-based research?  They state that recombinant (genetically engineered) 
human lactoferrin is "identical" to native human lactoferrin (which I presume is 
the real human lactoferrin from the human mammary gland).  Therefore they must 
have research/evidence that human milk heals wounds.  Where is it?  We, 
lactation consultants have anecdotal evidence and that kind of evidence is not 
acceptable in a evidenced-based practice.   So if they have evidence, then that 
evidence is being suppressed to not only our LC profession but to the medical 
community and ultimately to the public.  And if they don't have that evidence, 
then maybe we need to notifiy the FDA that this biotech company is putting out 
drugs without good research. Which is it?  Is evidence being suppressed?  Or is 
there no evidence of the healing properties of human milk?
