Fellow friends,
I was contacted by a woman working for the state of Kentucky regarding
justifications and policies for providing adequate on-site
breastfeeding/pumping facilities for employees. At the health
department and hospitals where I work there are really no *policies*
in place; it is just known that women can use the
breastfeeding/pumping rooms we have in place for patients. Have any
of you assisted companies in writing justifications and policies for
companies?

This woman was given this task after returning from maternity leave
only to find she had to pump in her shared office with her back to her
(female, thank goodness!) co-worker. She contacted the Governor's
wife about the situation who was also very interested about
legislation in other states (after all, it's election year!). I
forwarded Mahoney's stuff and will also send copies of Florida's
statutes but if anyone has additional resources, it would be
appreciated.

Thanks
Theresa
